God tells us in 1 Peter 4:8 that above all, to “keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.”
Proverbs 10:12 tells us “Hatred stirs up strife. But love covers all transgressions.”
Since we know from God’s Word and from experience that love covers a multitude of sins, certainly love covers a multitude of personal preferences in the church.
Even as Christians we tend to be quick to be judgmental and slow to give grace. My brethren, these things ought not to be.
By the grace of God, in the power of the Holy Spirit, with a fervent love for one another, let us overlook the different personal preferences we might have in our local churches. Let love cover the minor doctrinal differences we have between brethren.
